Have any of you noticed these self-checkout terminals at grocery stores in your area ? There are a bunch of them in my area(eastern US). All of the publix stores have them here. Basicly they are a bunch of machines where you scan your own items and then insert cash into the machine. I've found that these arnt smart enough to limit the ammount of anything that you buy. Comes in pretty handy :)

You guys are way too paranoid. Swim once worked at a grocery and damn it, they don't really care that much about you! The world does not revolve around drug manufacturers! You actually think that the store goes through their records and sees exactly how much pseudo everyone buys and if its too much then goes through all their camera tape to find the person's face, then gives it to the cops, who in turn try to identify you?? Not really! You think they like wasting their time and money to help the cops in return for nothing?? Maybe if you live somewhere where meth is rampant, but go to Boston or some other place in the northeast and I guarantee you you could easily buy 5 boxes of pseudo even with a cashier without her batting an eye. And if you do live somewhere where meth is rampant, use common sense! Use a hat and sunglasses. Duh! And most of those cameras on self-checkout machines aren't very high resolution either. You could buy three boxes a day easy no problems. The camera won't recognize your face, won't say, hey, weren't you in here yesterday?

No, you can't. There are safeguards on the system. IE, when you buy booze it pops up with a message to check your ID. How do you think they put limits on buy one get one free, coupons, etc ...? They can't expect someone to remember all these things, it's built into the system. Not to say Mom and Pops would have this kind of system, but I can guarentee you Walmart and Food Lion do.

The cashiers at Wal-mart won't even look at you funny if you buy four jars of baker's yeast and 60 pounds of sugar, and that's dead obvious what your intentions are. Most cashiers have no idea what you're using all that pseudo for, and the ones that do probably won't say something unless there's an angle for them.

In swim's area there are 2 superwalmarts that he frequents for red hots. Say the cameras CAN recognize your face.. WHAT are they gonna do? Are they going to zoom their cameras in the parking lot up to your license plate and record it? Or what? Are they even going to do anything at all? When swim says frequents, he means about once a week.. one then the other.. so any comments on what they might/could do would be appreciated??

You might be right about them not knowing what goes into a still, but that's pretty sad when you think about how their grandfathers probably used to run a still.

Most cashiers I've known can't remember that far back. Maybe it depends on the area of the country you live in. I was amazed to find that 99% of the jobs in some parts of Pennsylvania (when I was there the last couple of times) are still occupied by white people. It reminded me of the 60's here. I can't remember the last time I've seen a white janitor in this area.

The problem is that you still have to pay a cashier, if you plan on using cash, and they usually look through what you purchased to make sure nothing slipped past. Not really faster than regular lines, and you have to bag the shit yourself. Fuck that shit...

She told me the cash registers are rigged so if she scans more than the limit allowed of certain cold medications
the register tells her and will not ring up more than the

One of the easiest OTC routes to P2P starts with pseudoephedrine, so you're back where we started from. I guess it's all a matter of opinion. I prefer racemic amphs to straight d-amphetamine, due to the easier comedown. I've heard other people say they prefer the Philly high of racemic chili as well, so whatever floats your boat. It's nice knowing that you can make racemic meth and the only somewhat suspicious chemical you have to get is the pseudo. RP and Iodine can be just as suspicious to acquire as pseudo, if not more.

Had something funny happen at wallyworld today when buying some tone. Swim decided to get two small cans instead of the gallon size. Swim knows it's cheaper with the gallon, but he hates having big containers of solvents stashed around. So swim goes to the dumb clerk and swipe, swipe-BEEP!
[clerk, confused]: uh. oh, it looks like there's a one-limit purchase on these.
[swim, surprised]: oh really?
[clerk]: yeah, that's strange...
[swim]: huh. well there's also a gallon size about 4 times bigger. I didn't need that much though...

Sounds pretty stupid they limit acetone to 1 but pseudo at 3? There's no doubt why they limit the tone.. but geez that's dumb when they also have the gallon size.
Moral of the story: Swim wouldn't reccomend self-checkout machines.. because if it beeps like that when you try to buy too much, somebody has to come check out why it beeped, and probably hit a reset. Now, the person would probably be somebody who actually knew a thing or two, otherwise they wouldn't be put in charge of supervising 4 machines. Basically it just draws unwanted attention to yourself. Stick with the dumb clerks. There's always plenty to choose from!!

I know a guy who is doing 42 months fed time because the loss prevention officer at Wallyworld saw him and his ol' lady getting "Several of the items used to make meth" and had the cops waiting outside. Said items being lighter fluid, sudo, and tone, along with a lot of other really deadly stuff like jeans and socks. What got him busted was havinga warrant for his arrest for another charge, a bag containing a 'detectable amount' of something in his truck, and a lab at home. Real brain surgeon, this guy. They cant bust you for three boxes of sudo, but they can and will jack you up and hassle you, find out who u B, and report it to the DEA. Very much of that and you are hit. With all the research that happens here, has anyone ever looked what they will do to swim when he gets popped?
