What materials to use for tubing for condensors? | Bookmark
Of the following materials, which would be the best to use to connect the flasks -> condensors -> gas traps etc.. 1) PVC pipe. (grey) 2) ABS pipe. (black) 3) Flexible tubing (steel/plastic mesh it looks like) from plumbing uses. 4) Regular plastic tubing from an aquarium store (1/2 inch or larger). The temperatures would be less than 200C in the flask. Opinions welcome. Cheers, Runne |

How about a florescent light? | Bookmark
anyone heard of a used florescent tube being used for this purpose? it must be tempered and pressure friendly. getting the metal cap off each end could be hazarduss, do it under water. get the cloudy stuff off too, i forget which solvent gets that stuff off but its a very common one, either an alcohol or acetone. |

How about just going to a florescent sign shop and telling the glass blower what you need. I'll bet you could get a couple pieces of glass tube for $10 |
