      KFC Fryer magnesium silicate  Bookmark

I was wandering if this could be used for drying out a solvent or maybe in some type of reaction. I'm not sure exactly what its used for when we filter but I think it sucks up the water out of the grease.
hydrous, amorphous, synthetic magnesium silicate

Isn't magnesium silicate  TALC? I don't think I've heard of talc being used as a drying agent.
