if an emulsion devolops it will seperate givin enuogh time, and if it doesn't then you choose your 2 solvents badly. in fact to get good tranfer, you either need eneuogh time for diffusion to occur, or vigorous mixing which would cause emulsion in say DCM+water, so either way youll probobly have to wait awhile. dcm+water emulsions typically seperate in less then an hour anyhow. |
