Replace Cl with Br on Ketamine phenyl group? | Bookmark
I tried a search but nothing came up. Seemed kind of like an obvious thing to try in order to see if any interesting effects / differences could be found. Anyone ever heard of this being done, to make 2-(2-Bromophenyl)-2-(methylamino)- cyclohexanone? I suppose any halogen could be used. |

You cannot easily modify ketamine like that. | Bookmark
You cannot easily modify ketamine like that. You must synthesize the bromo-molecule from scratch. |

Yeah, I realized that you probably couldn't de-chlorinate it and add a bromide ion on there selectively, jeez. I was just wondering if such a compound had been made and if it had been observed to have different effects. |
