Simultaneous HI & white P synthesis
I have looked into my Wizard Spellbook and found this spell. Simultaneous HI & White P synthesis via 3I2 + 2PH3 ==>> 6HI + 2P I've seen much discussion of HI and RP synthesis here at the Hive and Sciencemadness. Preparation of elemental phosphorus http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewt Well here is a ALL-IN-ONE synthesis. |

of academical interest only
But this is of course of academical interest only, as piping PH3 into a solution of Iodine (solubilized by the addition of KI or NaI) would create HI in situ without the need of going through elemental phosphorus or use an electrolytic cell. The problem lies in the preparation/aquisition of the hideously toxic PH3 (phosphine) gas, which also is spontaneously inflammable in air. The Hive - Clandestine Chemists Without Borders |

Nice Wizard Master! I don't know how serious you are, PH3 is a shocker! So is HI I2 and P4 coincidently... All at once, I don't know about that, or why for that matter. Calm down Wiz, I can ask you a few questions right up your ally about more civil methods if yor in a phossy phase! |
