separation of KBr from KOH | Bookmark | |||||
I've been thinking about making potassium hydroxide by running a current through a soln of potassium bromide and water. I have a feeling that when my reaction stops letting off gas, there will still be some unreacted KBr salt in the KOH soln. does anyone know of a good solvent to separate these two after I evaporate off the water? another question I have is if there is a way to combine the two gasses that are let off, hydrogen and bromine, into hydrobromic acid? I think I read something about it being done at around 150C under pressure, and that seems a little bit out of my league. If pacman influenced us, we'd glide around dark rooms eating pills and listen to repetitive music. |
