Your trying to find it similar to ghb....
i wouldnt eat it....
had bad times with ghb so im bias anyway...
has anyone seen doco as to the activity or propyl chain ghb replacment???
Its just my opinion, but no-one listens to me anyway, and rightly so...

3-hydroxy-propanoic acid has good probabilities to bee dehydrated to acrylic acid in the acid environment of the stomach. Acrylic acid is not a nice thing to have in your body, so I would strongly advise you against ingesting that stuff.
The least you could do before even thinking of ingesting something like that is to find the MSDS sheets of both 3-hydroxy-propanoic and acrylic acid and see what the LD50 and the acute toxicity symptoms are like.

3-hydroxypropanoic acid has been found to be inert at GHB receptors in at least one assay I have read.
