Author Topic: possibly interesting refs wgzero unregistered posted 07-21-98 04:58 PM ---------------------------------------- Here are some interesting sounding references that I found at a recent visit to the local library. I haven't had time to follow up on them though. btw: a friend of mine is going to dream about demethylation of 4-allyl-2-methoxyphenol (eugenol) to allylpyrocatechol and then methylenation of allylprotocatechol to 4-allyl-1,2-methylenedioxybenzene. Wish her luck. I'll post details if things work out. --wgzero ======================================== "A convenient route to aryl substituted chloro and bromo olefins" "A one-pot reductive amination of ketone to primary amines using borane dimethyl sulfide complex" "Process for the preparation of amines from olefins using beta-zeolites free of transition metals and prepared without treatment of halogenated compounds" "Preparation of benzaldehyde by indirect electrolytic oxidation (i.e. toluene -> benzaldeyde)" "Catalytic oxidation of benzene to phenol with hydrogen peroxide" "Novel application of Raney Nickel in isopropanol" "A mild oxidative transformation of nitro compounds into ketones by tetrapropylammonium perruthenate" "Preparation of chloroacetone" ======================================== |
