No. using a requisite amount of H2O with PCl5 will make POCl3 and lots of HCl gas<br>OR<br>You could try and make dichlorodimethylether (another formylating reagent) with PCl5 and methylformate while generating<br>POCl3 simultaneously<br><br>You would need a good fume cupboard for either of these.
