How long can a stock solution of NaBH4 and NaOH sit at RT before the NaBH4 decomposes? Who is that masked man? |

Depends. What is the solvent? | Bookmark
Is water the solvent? Will perform sexual favors for females in exchange for 1,2-dimethylaziridine. PM for details. |

Depends on pH. | Bookmark
The rate of decomposition depends on the pH but if the solution is strongly basic it can be quite stable. Basic aqueous NaBH4 solutions are sold comercially. |

So about a 3M NaOH solution would keep it stable indefinately, or close to it? Rhod- are you sure that link is correct? I don't see how whether or not scottydog wears a rubber or not can be helpful in storing NaBH4. Who is that masked man? |
