Chemistry sounds alright, but N-ethyl-amphetamine is only half as potent as regular amphetamine... indole_amine |

I guess for n-ethyl-amphetamine one would have to use rather acetaldehyde instead of acetone. Correct? indole_amine |

it is quite cross-posting but if acetaldehyde is available, this way is cool too: Ph-CH2-MgCl + CH3CHO --> Ph-CH2-COH-CH3 Ph-CH2-COH-CH3 + H2SO4(90%)/NaCl --> Ph-CH2-CCl-CH3 Ph-CH2-CCl-CH3 can be extracted very easily (phase separation, toluene should work) then it is reacted with hexamine (pharmacy store) |

The reaction of benzylmagnesiumchloride with acetaldehyde will not yield p2pol in any desirable yields. The product will rearrange to something useless (cant remember what), but there are loads of descriptions in TFSE about this... Only one way leads to Valhalla - Running amok with TOTAL VIKING POWER |
