Hi,
I read on several post which speaks reduction about pseudo or eph via I2/RP and GAA .
I have several questions about the subject.
If I understand the GAA well is to employ like solvent to facilitate or Accelerate the reduction !?!
Why the time of reflux is it so short 2 to 3 hours?
Which is the true action of the GAA?
If one addition of the GAA with the HI/RP and reflux 32 hours could one improve quality of the product by the maximum reduction to the iodo-ephedrine?
Where the mixture is incompatible being able to create too much acetic ester ephedrine ?
