      PPA syrup extraction help needed

I have found a very interesting product: a dog incontinence syrup. It is easily available in europe.

This syrup contains the following:

1 ml enthält
Phenylpropanolamini hydrochloridum   50 mg
Excip. ad solutionem

The syrup is sold as 100ml bottles.

Do somebody know the nature of the Excipient. If we have sugar, do you know how to extract the PPA. Is sugar soluble in alcohol?

More Info - Do an A/B

Can you tell us all of the inactives in the syrup? Then perhaps a better answer can be provided.

If you are pioneering the first thing to do would be an A/B extraction, making sure to wash the syrup with the NP solvent prior to extraction.
