No - the meth is in its in its salt (HI) form, which is not volatile. There is no reason to heat it however - you will only make a Birkenau scenario with gas all over the room. The HI will be "caught" by the base. Distill until liquid runs clear in condenser.Gas distillate with HCl. Filter out crystals. Repeat 2x. You will be sadly dissapointed if you do so. If you gas a water phase with HCl, you will most definately NOT get any crystals. You need to extract the freebase with some NP (which is suitable for gassing), isolate the NP, wash it with brine and then dry with a drying agent. THEN you can gas and get crystals. Will Denatured OH and Toluene as a NP solvent be alright in all cases above? Toluene will work fine, but ethanol wont (way to polar).
