      pfed pinwheel size

Swip was just curios if any bee has noted a difference in the size of pinwheels to the quality of the cleaned pfed. Swip has been getting realy small pinwheels, not near as big as usual, and they look cleaner then what swip has seen in quite some time. Also wondering if yellow gak or the non-drying gak is often seen when evapping water, or just alky. Swip's pfed dried nice, burns with just whitish stain on foil, and realy small pinwheels. Swip used name brand 120's. A/B'ed with NH4OH and hopefully sodium carbonate (Swip made his own by bubbeling CO2 gas through sodium hydroxide solution) added a capfull of H2O2 and a touch of iso alky, Then extracted with xylene. Was planning on sp distillation next but looks clean enough for rxn.

      size

swim has noticed pinwheel size to be directly related with heat. More heat when evaping smaller the pinwheel.

      ummm... that whitish stain....

That whitish stain is caused by some of the Eudragit polymers. Your pseudo isn't clean yet. I suggest you proceed with the short path distillation rather than the reaction.

mostly harmless

      Forgot.. Faster evap, smaller crystals.

Swip does use a hairdryer to reduce most of the water, then puts it by a fan to finish. Never got pinwheels this small though. Maybe a higher concentration of pfed.smile So far swips yield is about 75%+ of expected. Swip is not used to whitish coloration though. Usually get carmel color that turns black when yellow oil is present. Good looking out though Geez. Off to the SPD. Swip also noticed that he seems to have more powder to less wieght ratio. Swip believed this to be due to fewer Gak's. Swips latest dreams have been nightmare's. Hoping for some better ones in the future.
