How would one go about crystalizing 2c-b freebase into the ascorbate salt, and what effect would this have on solubility in water, and dosage (due to higer molecular weight)?  Just some fun food for thought...  I've read posts about people doing this with meth, and rhodium seems to think it can be done with any amine...

Dissolve one mol ascorbic acid in methanol or IPA and add one mol 2C-B freebase. By removing most of the solvent, cooling and scratching you should be able to get crystals. You might also end up with a sticky oil which refuses to crystallize.

2C-B HCl 296.6 g/mol
2C-B ascorbate 436.2 g/mol

This means that the ascorbate weighs 1.47 times more than the hydrochloride, so 14.7 mg 2C-B ascorbate equals 10 mg 2C-B HCl.
