Stability of nitrostyrenes?
If someone would make for example 3,4,5-TMNS, is it stable enough to be stored in a airtight container under roomtemp for 3-4 weeks? (Sorry, but search-function is not working as we all know. :P)

If purity is OK

If you have recrystallized and purified your nitrostyrene properly, it is no problem storing it for longer periods of time.

Thank you very much. Would one ...

Thank you very much. Would one recrystallisation from methanol be enough? Or should someone do it twice? The method of preparation would be condensation of 3,4,5-TMBA with nitromethane (in excess, as solvent too) and ammonium acetate? If my memory serves me well I think this method will produce a not so very clean product?
