I have looked in the Rhodium site and got some info on TLC. Indeed, I have some questions.
1) How easily available, how many per package, price, for pre-made TLC plates ?
2) Which solvent would be OK for :
a) MDP2P, MDMA.
b) 2C-H, 2C-B, nitrostyrene.
3) How effective is TLC in indicating a mixture or impurities present ? Can it happen that it shows a single dot, but it is still a mixture ?

It is possible, but it depends on the eluent used too. TLC plates can also be eluated two dimensionally, first in one direction with one solvent system, after which the plate is turned 90° and eluated with another solvent system. This makes it possible to have a chance at resolving the multiple compounds on the same dot with another solvent system.
