from GBL, would only destillation provide optimal results?

<<<This if you are refering to my posts using sodium bromite, THF and the confusion with Sodium Bromate. The reaction went smoothly but the endresult was inconsluive. I did not feel like it was succesful just from looks and smell and did not want to risk an explosion in the workshop at the time so the reaction was neutrolized and disposed of properly.)>>>
