Publication :CE Date :December, 1999 file=CE-106-13 Copyright :Copyright 1999 Chemical Week Publishing, LLC Volume :106 Issue :13 Page :64D-4 Section : NEW PRODUCTS : Packaged cooler chills process vessels to -45 degrees C . Blue Frost packaged cooling systems allow process vessels to operate at temperatures down to -45 degrees C. They are cheaper and more compact than traditional custom-built refrigeration systems, says their supplier. Capacities are in the range of 4-275 kW, with a choice of air or water cooling, and indoor or outdoor siting. Heat transfer is achieved by "direct expansion", in which the primary refrigerant circulates through the vessel jacket, or via a secondary refrigerant, such as ethylene glycol. Suggested applications are in crystallization and other operations in the fine chemical and pharmaceutical industries. -- Coolmation Ltd., Ringwood, U.K. By Charles Butcher and Rita L. This will be useful for the birch. everyone hates it when their glass cup or flasks shatter from the extreme cold, you obviously need a pressure vessle, this will be great. Thanks !!! JUST BECAUSE I TALK ABOUT SOMETHING, DOES NOT MEAN THAT I HAVE ACTUALLY DONE IT, OR PLAN TO DO IT! |
