AMT and AET from Tryptophan and electrolysis | Bookmark | ||||||
I know that some of you don't like electro-cheistry. Well I'm sowewhat a fan of it. However I still don't have an electrolysis-cell but what they make possible is great. So let's go for AMT and AET from Tryptophan with the help of electrochemistry. AMT Tryptophan + SOCl2 --> tryptamin-C(=O)Cl Or: Tryptophan --> Indol-3-acetaldehyd Indol-3-acetaldehyd + CH3NO2 --> [uhm well how is this called ?] [uhm well how is this called ?] + eC --> AMT AET Indol-3-acetaldehyd + CH3-CH2-NO2 --> [indol-nitrobutene ?] [indol-nitrobutene ?] + eC --> AET Or: Tryptophan + eC --> Tryptamin-CH2-OH [not sure] Tryptamin-CH2-OH + SOCl2 --> Tryptamin-CH2-Cl Tryptamin-CH2-Cl + BrMg-CH3 --> AET So are these speculations worth shit or more ? --psyloxy-- |
