Chem. 16, 1207–1216] and comparison with indole-3-pyruvic acid conversion by pyruvate decarboxylases from Saccharomyces cerevisiae..." Was thinking someone could use both these references. I dont understand it fully but according to the diagram, IPDC works tryptophan to IAA. if someone could figure out how to inhibit the last step, one could make a turkey/salmon fermentation to end up with indole-acetaldehyde. The actual page even talks about this formation occuring in saccharomyces spp. so one could assume maybe conditions could be tweaked to allow bakers yeast to perform this synthesis rather than some wierd cucumber extract. So yeah, apologies if this is irrelevant to anything just thought someone could use it for food for thought, else delete post, no biggie |
