im sure it can.. what i want to know is, whats the most it could be sized up in a two liter flask. im going to try and double it. ill post results later, but if someone has sized up to 3 times in two liter, please post!! its certainly not in the rhodium archives.
you can size up MOST reactions, however limits do apply, the reactivity of some processes will overpower the vessel if made to large (resulting in shards of glass and many many tears). So yes you can, just dont go making it 500x bigger, 2x or 3x is ok.
However remember to maintain your ratios.
It's not particularly exothermic or anything. Actually it's a very sexy little reaction, SWIM performed it at very large scale back in the beginning, 12L carboy with about 6L of reactants. Hard on the wallet though considering the amount of PdCl2 one needs for good results.
