SWID was dreamed a few times some MDMA. SWID is now looking for a route to MDA. SWID was looking at "High-yielding synthesis of MDA from MDP2P" by Sonson and was wondering if this has been done by many or is there an easier route? Not to say that this isnt but maybe some bee's have better things in mind? Any help would be awesome. peace out.... |

You should try to do a CTH reductive amination à la Sunlight, with ammonium formate and 10% Pd/C (if you have access to the chems). The solvent is 9:1 MeOH/H2O, the workup is a breeze and involves only HCl, NaOH, a proper a/b and the use of an aspirator. Yields: 70-80% if you have pure ketone. The details can be found in a Hive thread called "MDA and MDMA from CTH reductive amination", by Sunlight. You can find it in the "Hive files" section, and there under either "novel discourse" or "methods discourse"...
I wish you lots of fun searching! |

So SWID's been reading the posts, and the link to the threads you have provided. Thank you very much. The chemicals are not easily accesed where SWID is from. He's going to keep researching and looking into this. Keep you all posted on what is found, SWID. Thanks again. Peace out... |

Have you tried looking into the leuckart reaction? Altough the yields are most likeley not as high as with CTH you can definately find the chemicals OTC in most parts of the world. |

Leuckart often gives very bad yields and lots of tar, isn't really easy to get to work properly...
Maybe acidic Al/Hg on the oxime, ala Sonson, is the best option for you.
