b-Phenylethylamines, Indolines and Isoquinolones via Hydroamination of
Styrenes by Microwave Irradiation Julio A. Seijas,* M. Pilar Vázquez-Tato,* M. Montserrat Martínez Synlett 2001 No. 6, 875–877 pdf
Abstract:
Microwave irradiation promotes hydroamination of styrenes.
This method can be used as a direct way of producing different
kinds of bioactive compounds: open chain compounds like
ß-phenylethylamines or cyclized products like indolines or isoquinolones.

Ning over at the WD had this to say about this procedure......
Quote:
aniline reacted with propenylbenzene in the microwave for 10 minutes to give N-phenylamphetamine in 42% yield. Aniline : propenylbenzene : KOtBu = 10:1:1 (Synlett 2001, 875)
