I dreamed about a placebo HI/RP Pseudo reaction last night, tho the dream turned into a bit of a nightmare.
How the fuck do you get the RP to the bottom of the flask without it going everywhere ? that stuff is a clingy mother fucker ! Even water don't shift it !
I'm just gonna stop dreaming about the placebo and maybe go for a wizard X, at least then I can swish the contents around as I'm dealing with a solution.
My Quickfit 600ml 19/26 conical's neck just can't swallow the dry ingrediants.
Advice for ground glassware purchasers:-
ALWAYS BY THE FLASKS/CONDENSORS/ETC WITH THE LARGEST NECKS AVAILABLE, DON'T BUY THE SMALLER NECKED STUFF BECAUSE IT IS CHEAPER !
make sure the flask is dry and put it in first? edit: oh and make sure the red is clean as you can get it. remember when it's refluxing a lot of dust that might get on the sides is gonna get washed down
Loki has a good point, make sure the flask is dry and the RP is dry, if theres moisture of course its going to stick to the sides or neck and clump up like a bitch.
If you dry the flask and use a piece of paper made into a funnel (roll it up on an angle) and drop it in through that little by little it will sit at the bottom, then slowly add your liquid in down the side of the flask so you dont splash in the RP and make it fly up all over the sides of the flask, which now wet, will stick.
