*whew*

I've been busy today...

New [post] BBCode:
by using the [post] and [/post] tags, with a post number in between, you can do direct post linking... This took f'n forever to get to work right, so I hope you guys appreciate it Razz.

e.g. - I can link to the first post in this thread like so: .

BTW, the linked post will open in a new window/tab (depending on browser settings).

enjoy

Sweet!! No more problem with the scrolling marquee. Excellent work. I didn't even notice the double slashes, before.

I didn't even notice that my IP address was listed in the error..... but I don't think the one listed is mine. It was most likely the one of an anonymous proxy server. Wink

ALSO, The "Veiw All" function for viewing the entire thread on one page is not working for me. Am I the only one having this problem? I really look forward to using this feature. BTW I think you are doing a great job (primathon).

Very curious that the 'view all' isn't working for you, seeing as how everything is done server-side - it works fine on my end. What browser/OS are you using?

I don't f'n understand. It seems to be working fine, now. I'm sure it wasn't working before, though. I tried backtracking my steps to see if I could pinpoint the problem that I was having, but found nothing.

The only difference I can think of is that I wasn't logged in, before. If I can repeat the problem, I will post.

BTW: WindowsXPsp2, FireFox1.0.3 (not that it matters, now).

Actually... that was it. I just logged out, reset my computer, and started over just like before. I got the same problem. I don't know if this will help but the URL line in the browser (Firefox) said this:

https://www.synthetikal.com/synthforum/about884-.htmlall&postdays=0&postorder=asc

It does work fine when I'm logged in

I got more crazy errors when I clicked "post a reply" before I logged in, but I didn't think to copy and paste them. I actually had to completely shut down my browser and re-open it before I could make the errors stop. Maybe this will help?

So, it appears that this forum feeds dynamically generated .html pages to users who aren't logged in (for whatever reason) - just to make it difficult, it seems... Anyway, doesn't matter. I fixed that crap with 'view all'. Also, if you aren't logged in, the 'new topic' and 'reply' buttons should direct you to login.php.

Oh yeah, 'view all' has been added to the search results...

More requests?

AFIAK it's still in there. It only displays if there are new posts since you've last visited the thread, though. I just tested it, and it's displaying for me...

More changes:

the post number (now a box) to the left of the post topic is now a direct link to a page that displays a single post (viewpost.php). The post BBCode tags [post] and [/post] will link to that number, e.g. - notice the box; this should make it easier to see when displayed inside a post. As before, clicking that link will open the single post in a new window.
